Nagpur: A day long Do Science workshop was organised by planmystudy on Sunday, 23rd July 2017. The activity was completely free for the school children. Around 100 plus students & parents from all over Nagpur attended and showed their deep interest. The initiative was taken by Sangita Pidadi, founder & owner, planmystudy.
Various groups were made according to age of the children. Junior students worked & made models on magnetism, Senior group worked on renewable energy and made windmill working project. Students handled the project individually. They enjoyed doing it by themselves. They were overwhelmed to know how do wind generate electricity! How mechanical energy converts into electrical energy! It was fun playing with magnets and studying properties of magnets. At the end of the session a quiz round was also organised by Sangita Potdukhe.
On parents request, Girish Pidadi, Adviser, planmystudy spoke on choosing right carrier and SWOT ( Strength, Weakness, Opportunity & Threats) analysis and also emphasized on parent’s role in making children career.
Arti Mazi, a student participant, shared her views and what they have learnt thru Do science. From Parents Megha Jakate, SeemaSonsare, Nikita Hatwar, shared their views and congratulated organisers and founder of planmystudy for taking up the task of developing science attitude amongst youngsters.
Do-Science is hands on Science Activity program for school children which is regularly held at the premises of planmystudy, 26, Yeshoda Nagar, Hingna Road, Nagpur. Do Science is based on project & experimental based learning along with academic session so as to enhance understanding of scientific concepts. Most of the models & experimental material is given on take away basis for deep experimentation, more learnings & to develop a small laboratory at home.
