Nagpur: Film making is not just confined to Mumbai now-a-days. Cities like Nagpur is growing in the field of Media and entertainment. More and more films are being made in Nagpur and winning national and international accolades. Film producers from the city are producing films which are being released in India and internationally too. Directors, actors and technicians are working in films, serials and reality shows and making the city proud. Last year, 5 films were made in Nagpur and released Pan India.
Keeping all these factors in mind, a nagpur based film production house, Piyush Pande films, has collaborated with film makers and actors with a vision to give quality film education to the interested students.
When asked Piyush Pande the vision behind the film school he said: “Nagpur is slowly and steadily coming in the film making map. We want to make nagpur self sufficient and train actors, directors and technicians so that we don’t have to go Mumbai or Pune to get good film artists. Also, our main vision is to provide knowledge to the students that we didn’t get when we were their age and exploring the film making process. We want to pass our experience and knowledge to them so that they don’t have to struggle that much.”
There will be 5 certificate courses of 2 months each. These are: Acting, Film Direction, Cinematography, Film Editing and Sound Recording. All courses will be taught by teachers who are already working in the film making field actively, which will help students to get updated and practical knowledge. Students will also get 100 percent placement opportunity where in they can work in live projects too. Piyush Pande films have also collaborated with film production house, media house, news channel and tv channels locally and nationally so that more and more placement opportunity can be given to the students.
