Nagpur: City’s star International skater Piyush Kishore Akre has been honoured by State Government with most prestigious Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Award on 17 feb, 2018. Piyush a BCom student from Sindhu Hindu College got this award for his exceptional achievements in Speed Skating.
So far, Piyush’s medals tally is of 1 Silver and 6 Bronze medals in National Championships. He has represented India in 4 international tournaments and Asian and State-level Championships.
Piyush gives credits of his success to his parents Late Kishore Akre , Mother Kavita Akre and sister Priyanka, coach Pravin Deshpande, friends and all his well wishers .
