Nagpur News : Nagpurians would now be seen making a beeline at petrol pumps as the Vidarbha Petroleum Dealers Association has declared that pumps in the city would remain open just from 8 am to 8 pm from October 15 onwards in protest of refusal of oil companies to implement the Apoorva Chandra committee’s recommendation to increase commission for petroleum dealers.
With the rise in petrol and diesel cost, the LPG cylinders’ limit and this time regulation at petrol pumps, Nagpur will face a tough time.

President of the Vidarbha Petrol Dealers Association Harvindar Singh Bhatia said that it has become close to tremendously difficult to operate petrol pumps and to recover operating cost with prices soaring sky high. Despite this oil companies and the Union government is not willing to implement the Apoorva Chandra committee’s recommendation. This has left the petrol pump owners in a lurch. Owing to this, petrol pump owners have decided to keep pumps shut after 8 pm all over the country.
