Nagpur: Pardi Police on Tuesday arrested a bootlegger and seized 170 liquor bottles (each containing 180 ml) worth over Rs 10,500 from his possession. Identified as Nandlal Gajbhiye (25), the accused is a resident of Kapsi Bujurg.
Cops got information that Nandlal had illegally stocked the liquor bottles for sale on higher rates. He was planning to sell the bottles to some persons in the village on ‘Tanha pola’ after Tuesday was declared as dry day.
Acting swiftly, a team led by Senior Inspector Manohar Kotnake raided his house and seized the bottles. Cops arrested Nandlal on charges under Section 65(e) of Maharashtra Prohibition Act.
