Nagpur: Tension ran high at Chamat Square in Dighori when a country-made pistol, four live cartridges and a magazine were found lying on the road unattended. The lethal stuff was spotted in the middle of the road around 2 pm on Thursday triggering a panic among passersby. Soon a crowd thronged the spot to have a look of the stuff. The only point of discussion was as how the pistol, live cartridges and the magazine fell on the road. Who was carrying them?
Meanwhile, someone alerted the police control room. Soon a team of Nandanvan police reached the spot and seized the pistol, bullets and magazine. Police have launched investigation to ascertain how the dreaded things were lying on the road. They are scanning footage of CCTVs installed nearby the spot.
