Nagpur  News :  After a warm welcome by the denizens of Nagpur and getting felicitated by the hands of BJP Leader Nitin Gadkari padmashree Shubha Mudgal started her crooning with one of the most popular numbers “Rangilo Maro Dho;na” . She continued with “ abke sawan aise barse”, “pyar ke geet” , “tere Bake naino ne aisa jadu…” and many more. After every song a loud voice of “once more” can be heard from the audience. Padmashree Shubha Mudgal took the audience in a all new thrilling atmosphere.

To mark the 150th anniversary of Nagpur Municipal Corporation,The Nagpur Mahotsav 2014 starts on February 24, 2014 with the grand Inaugural programme followed by “Koshish-Live in Fusion” by Singer padmashree Shubha Mudgal. The Mahotsav was launched four years ago by the then standing committee chairman Sandip Joshi. This is the third edition of the event. On this auspicious occasion standing committee chairman and organizers of Nagpur Mahotsav 2014, Avinash Thakre, Mayor Anil Sole, Jaitunnabi Ansari, President of Organising Committee of Nagpur Mahotsav 2014, Girish Gandhi, BJP leader Nitin Gadkari, Ashish Deshmukh, Shyam Wardhne and Hemant Pawar were also present.

Standing committee chairman Avinash Thakre in the inaugural speech gave the details about the 5 day long Nagpur Festival. He gave details about the performances which will be performed during the mahotsav.

Mayor Anil Sole while giving his speech on the occasion said that “this is a golden chance for denizens of Nagpur to showcase their talents during the festival. He added that 27 art forms will be performed during the festival by the various performers”.

President of Organising Committee of Nagpur Mahotsav 2014, Girish Gandhi while giving his speech said that “NMC organize the Nagpur Mahotsav every year to celebrate the enthusiasm of the denizens of Nagpur. He also said that the Moto behind this festival is to provide a stage to the artists of Nagpur”

Several personalities will be felicitated on the last day of Mahotsav
