Online MUN Competition at The Achievers School, Nagpur

Nagpur: The Achievers School had organised Online MUN Competition for its students from grade 6 to 9 on 4th December 2021. It was a great learning experience for the students to be part of Online MUN Competition. Model United Nations Conference, instituted to educate students about public speaking, debate, diplomacy, problem-solving, persuasive writing, and teamwork.

Nearly 9 teams with 12 members in each from conflict Zone had participated in this competition. Topic for MUN was Food Security in Conflict Zones. Conflict Zones are the zones where law and order is not maintained due to issues like territorial disputes, civil wars, terrorism etc. Conflict zones are unpredictable and dangerous for civilian.

“MUN trains today’s students to tomorrow’s leaders. Students who do MUN would one day change the world.” At an MUN conference, students worked as the representative of a country and tried to solve a problem with other delegates from around the world. Each delegate of a country spoke at least for 90 seconds one after another discussing their policy to solve the Food crisis which their country was facing. The presidents representing their respective countries wrote a resolution and submitted it to world Food Program Achievers Chairperson.

They debated on the policies which they made for their countries. Best Delegate from each team was judged on their quality of research on the topic, Speaking Skills, Debating Skills, Critical Thinking Skills, Teamwork, and Leadership abilities. The competition had been a success and the talented students performed very well.
Director of the school Mrs.Sapna Katiyar and Dr.Priyadarshini Deoghare, Director – Academics and school Principal applauded the participants for their spectacular performance.
