One-way lane of Khairani Road Bridge will start from Sunday

Mumbai– The work of Khairani Road Bridge at Sakinaka in Kurla L Ward was stalled for 19 months.One-way route will start on Sunday after RTI activist Anil Galgali follow up with Bmc. This will bring great relief to the citizens of this place.

The locals had approached Anil Galgali regarding the stalled work and requested him to resolve the issue. RTI activist Anil Galgali had held a meeting with Municipal Deputy Commissioner Sanjay Darade on October 8, 2020 on various issues. During the meeting, Mr. Darade instructed the concerned officers and contractors about the stalled Khairani Road Bridge work and the work gained momentum.The water department showed interest in the water maintenance work and laid a new 300mm water line. According to Anil Galgali, the service line has taken time and there are still challenges. A one-way route is being launched next Sunday, after which the rest of the work will begin.

Khairani Road Bridge was demolished on March 23, 2019. The work order has been issued on July 26, 2019 and API Civilcon has won a contract worth Rs 5 crore and the remaining work will be completed by January 21, 2021.
