Nagpur: Utter carelessness on the part of a truck driver in parking his vehicle haphazardly on a road and equally rash riding by a motorcyclist resulted in death of an unidentified mobike rider and critical injuries to a pillion rider. The fatal accident occurred on 11.50 pm on Sunday in Wadi area.
The unidentified person (25-28) was driving the motorcycle (MH-31/AZ 8293) with another unidentified person (25-28) as a pillion. The rider was rashly driving his mobike and when they reached in Wadi area, the motorcyclist apparently could not spot the truck (KA-14/B 3375) parked on the road and rammed it with powerful impact. The rider of the mobike died of serious injuries on the spot and the pillion rider sustained critical injuries. The injured man was rushed to Mayo Hospital where he is reportedly battling for life. On being informed about the mishap, Wadi police reached the spot and sent body of the unidentified person to Government Hospital for post mortem.
PSI Bhaskar has booked the motorcyclist under Sections 279, 337, 304(A) of IPC and probing the matter further. The truck driver is also being questioned.
