Nagpur: In a shameful act, a one-and-a-half-year-old girl and a 17-year-old girl were molested in Pratap Nagar and Sakkardara police station areas.
In the first case, an autorickshaw driver has been booked by Pratap Nagar police for molesting a one-and-a-half-year-old girl on Wednesday afternoon. As per information, the accused Sameer Gajananrao Dalal (31), a resident of Pratap Nagar, used to pick and drop the victim from her school. On Wednesday, Sameer went to pick up the victim from her school. While dropping her home, he tried to outrage the molesting the girl with her indecent gestures.
On the basis of the victim’s girl mother, Pratap Nagar police have registered an offence under Sections 354 (a) (1) (2) of the IPC.
Another incident took place under the jurisdiction of Sakkardara police station on Wednesday where a 17-year-old girl was molested. The accused youth has been arrested.
According to information, the 17-year-old girl was walking back home on Wednesday at around 9.30 pm in front of Kamla Nehru College, Sakkardara when a eve-teaser Pramod Digambarrao Deshmukh (50) stalked her and passed indecent comments. The girl later approached Sakkardara police and lodged a complaint against Pramod, a resident of Uday Nagar, near Vaishali Tuition classes, Hudkeshwar. Cops have registered an offence under Sections 354 (1) (4), 294 of the IPC read with sub section 12 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012 and arrested the accused.
