In an incident in the Wadi area, a person intervened in a police inquiry and abused a police constable verbally while he was on duty. Police informed that, Sushil Prabhakar Gavai (26), was patrolling near Dattawadi Square on Sunday late night. He noticed some women standing near VIP Bar and went ahead and questioned them. Accused Vipin Tembhurne, whose wife was one of the women present there, outraged over this behavior and verbally abused Sushil Gavai for interrogating the women. Vipin then misbehaved with Sushil and pulled him by hi collar. He did not let Sushil complete his duty and got into a hassle with him. Fearing arrest, the accused, Vipin, fled from the spot while his wife and other women helped him escape the spot.
