Odisha BSE HSC Class 10 Results 2017 declared
Odisha: The long wait for the class 10th Odisha Board students ended today after the result was declared before the said time. Earlier, the result was to be announced by 11:30 am, it was instead announced around 9:30 am. Also due to the high traffic, the official website of the board seems to have crashed. An alternative website where the students can check their result is Indiaresults, which is the online partner for result declaration for Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.

According to the Odisha Board of Secondary education, at least 6,08,659 students wrote the annual matriculation examination at 2938 exam centres this year. Last year, 6,01,348 students had appeared for the HSC examinations held at 2,882 centres across the state from February 22 to March 4, and nearly 16,000 teachers participated in the evaluation of answer sheets.

The president of the board, Sushant Das, announced later this year that 295 nodal centres were identified for safe storage of question papers, and of this nodal centres, at least 27 are police stations. The Board officials further stated that in interior areas and Maoist affected areas, where schools equipped with sound infrastructure and proper security are not available, the question papers will be stored in the police stations for security reasons.
