Nagpur News: The students’ council elections of Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University would be held on October 22. A notification in this regard was issued by the student welfare department of the varsity on Saturday.
Director of the student welfare department Dr Arun Patil made the announcement after the student council was constituted on Saturday.
It may be noted here that 8 out of 15 members of the student council this year are girls. This is the first time in history of student elections of RTMNU that girl students have been elected to the council in such a large number.
On the other hand student organisations have sprung into action to secure the president’s chair.
The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Sena and Vishvavidyalaya Vidyarthi Sangram Sena are set to lock horns for the coveted post.
