Nagpur: Nagpur Spirits Round Table 258 kick-started their maiden ‘Freedom through Education’ project by performing Bhoomipujan of Round Table India School in association with Sangam Madhyamik Vidyalaya at Bhoslewadi on Sunday.
NSRT 258 have adopted this school after looking at the dilapidated condition of this school which has around 100 students studying in it and there are just 4 classrooms for them. The school has no compound wall hence stray animals like pigs and cows are a everyday nuisance for the kids and the staff of this school. It was heart wrenching to hear the incident of an 8 year old student who was attacked by a pig while she was having her mid-day meal in the school.
In the first phase, Round Table India along with Nagpur Spirits Round Table 258 shall construct a compound wall, two toilet blocks and 3 classrooms in the school. They shall repair the whole structure too. NLC 50, the ladies circle of Round Table Area 3, has committed to make a computer lab for the kids of this school.
The bhoomipujan was performed in the presence of National President LC Cr Prachi Agrawal, Area President LC Cr Shweta Vohra, NLC CP Cr Esha Agrawal, Incoming Area 3 Chairman Tr Devendra Gandhi, National Board Member Tr Piyush Daga and prominent tablers from Nagpur, Mumbai, Nashik and Bilaspur.
