Nagpur Round Table 83 (NRT-83), a charitable trust working towards education for underprivileged children, has successfully transformed a dilapidated zilla parishad (ZP) school building in Nagazari village, Hingna taluka, Nagpur, into a modern and well-equipped learning facility. After the successful transformation of Sukali, NRT 83 viewed the Nagazari tribal area as the best location in need of urgent transformation.
The newly inaugurated school building stands as the first modern structure in the tribal village of Nagazari, Hingna Taluka. Under Phase-I, NRT-83 demolished the old unsafe structure which was in a poor condition and constructed a colourful, fully ventilated, state-of-the-art school designed to cater to nearly 200 students, complete with a children’s play area.
In a noteworthy initiative, the project also witnessed crowdfunding participation from the tribal village community and assistance from the local government body, encouraged by the consistent efforts of NRT-83 and its implementation partner, Bridge The Gap Foundation.
Speaking on the occasion, Prateek Minocha, Chairman, NRT-83, said,
“Round Table India is a non-political and non-sectarian organisation of young professionals committed to service, fellowship and goodwill. Education for underprivileged children remains our primary focus, and projects like Nagazari reaffirm our commitment to creating long-term impact.”
The new school infrastructure includes three well-furnished classrooms, modern desks, and separate washrooms for boys and girls within the building, significantly improving hygiene and accessibility. The design of the structure has left room for further expansion in the future as well. Emphasis at this school has been placed on natural ventilation, safety and an engaging learning environment.
Nischay Sinha, Treasurer, NRT-83, said,“The new school has been designed to be both functional and inspiring. From classroom layout to sanitation facilities, every aspect has been planned to support quality education and student well-being.”
Phase-I of the project was completed at a cost of ₹40 lakh, raised through donations, innovative fundraising initiatives and corporate social responsibility (CSR) contributions.
“As part of its holistic approach, NRT-83 has partnered with Bridge The Gap Foundation, which is providing training to teaching and non-teaching staff to equip them with modern pedagogical techniques. The trust is also supporting the necessary infrastructure required for these capacity-building initiatives,” said Sawrabh Taori, Vice Chairman NRT 83.
