Nagpur: The considerable spell of rains for the last three days in Nagpur has added to the normal rainfall quota, however the distorted pattern of rains could not clear the humidity levels to desired extent. Met Office informed that during the current week there will be local type rainfall in Nagpur and parts of Vidarbha. Local type rainfall is caused by local factors like heating from the sun which evaporates moisture and form clouds. Local rains does not require any monsoon system.

sirajSiraj Khan, Assistant Meteorologist-I at Nagpur Met Office told Nagpur Today that from Tuesday onwards there will be isolated rain over Vidarbha for next 6 days as Western end of Monsoon axis moved to the foothills of Himalayas.
Isolated rains mean very less rainfall at one or two places in Vidarbha. In the same spell, Nagpur may also witness some local rains, he added.
