Over 3 lakh water consumers have something to cheer about!!! Orange City Water (OCW) while fulfilling the long pending demand of consumers has introduced ‘e-water bill’ facility as well as Consumer Self Service portal recently.
Almost over 50,000 water consumers prefer digital payment options –like online billing -to pay water bills these days. It was long pending demand of these consumers to issue them ebill at their personal e mail id. Not only these 50, 000 consumers but over 3 lakh consumers can anytime check their water bills online and pay it too.
Consumer will receive copy of periodic water bill on their registered email address in PDF format on the next day morning of bill date. Only thing is that receiving bill on email address will be initiated after registration of Email Address and Mobile No of consumer by themselves on OCW website www.ocwindia.com in “Consumer Corner” page.
Along with this, OCW has introduced a Consumer Self-service portal, a digital platform which will also provide consumer their personalized data, allow them to complete transactions, raise query and also get to know the status of their complaint.
Consumer can also make online payment and download receipt in PDF format. Further the portal will keep record of last 6 cycles of periodic water bill. Portal can be used by valid consumers only which is initiated after the process of registration. Registration is monitored by verification process and OTP.

Director’s Rajesh Kalra, KMP Singh & other senior customer service Dept officials Mr Vinod Gupta, Mr Maloy Chaudhary, Mr Praveen Sharan, Mr Mohammad Ayaz, Mr Amol Pande were present on the occasion. OCW CEO Sanjoy Roy has appealed consumers to get benefits of newly introduced digital platform of Consumer Self-service portal and E-Bill services through OCW website www.ocwindia.com
Along with Online Billing facility, NMC-OCW’s official mobile app ‘Nagpur Water’ also allows consumers to avail NMC-OCW services at their fingertips. The mobile app is simple and easy to use, and provides transparency in delivering services to consumers. along with the mobile application, consumers can take benefits of most popular payment option PayTM services for consumers. The receipt of the payment will be provided by PayTM. The paid amount will be credited to consumers account in 24 hours.
Further in a bid to increase cashless transactions, NMC-OCW have also introduced swipe machines in all zone offices. Consumers can swipe any Visa or Master debit or credit card to pay water bills. All transactions are without any additional charges to the consumers.
Further, alongwith zonal CCC’s counters NMC-OCW have started additional payment counters at various zones; Trimurti Nagar Water Tank (Laxmi Nagar zone), Dabha Water Tank (Dharampeth), Kharbi Water Tank (Nehru Nagar Zone), Shanti Nagar Water Tank (Satranjipura), and Subhan Nagar Water Tank (Lakadganj). Consumers can pay water bills as

System will ask for GIS ID or Meter No to verify consumer. Both fields are available on bills.
Once it is verified mobile no and email address can be entered and submitted by putting the
valid OTP generated and shared on their mobile no for mobile registration and email address
for email id registration.
