North Nagpur saw development works worth Rs 1325 cr, says Raut on day of frenzied drive

Nagpur: Highlighting the achievements during his tenure as MLA and Minister from 1999 to 2014, Dr Nitin Raut said that he made Rs 1325.76 crore available for development works in North Nagpur out of which various works worth Rs 702.14 have been completed. Similarly, development works of remaining Rs 623.62 crore are in the pipeline and will be completed soon. This information was given by Dr Raut before taking out a massive “Padayatra” in North Nagpur constituency from where he is contesting the Assembly election. The campaigning of Raut reached its crescendo on the penultimate day as thousands of people participated and same number welcomed him in the areas from where Raut passed through.

The Congress nominee rolled out his campaigning juggernaut from Teka Naka Mata Mandir at 8 am on Sunday and then covered Rahul Buddha Vihar, Sharda Mata Mandir, Shende Nagar, Lal Godam, Sugat Buddha Vihar, Chalks Colony, Laghuvetan Colony, Kamgar Kalyan Kendra, Sarika Buddha Vihar, Nagoba Mandir, Namo Buddha Vihar, Jaripatka Bus Stop, Bezonbagh, Sweeper Colony, Indora Buddha Vihar, Ambedkar Square, Namantar Shahid Smarak, Machine Mohalla Square and other several areas.

Others who participated in Dr Nitin Raut’s “Padayatra” included former Corporator, Vinod Walde, Martin Mores, Dinesh Gharde, Mamata Gedam, Jaikumar Ramteke, Asad Khan, Pavitra Wasnik, Mahipal Tembhurne, Vijaya Lakshmi Hazare, Jyoti Nagrale, Adv Suryakant Jaiswal and other hundreds of people and workers.
