NOGA Company wall comes crashing down crushing 3 women, two children in Motibagh

A 70-year old woman among the injured.  A JCB machine rammed into the wall. The impact resulted in the collapse of the wall crushing five people. Injured have been rushed to the Government Hospital wherethe condition of the elderly woman is stated to be critical.

_DSC7499Nagpur News: Tension ran high in Motibagh and nearby areas when the high wall of NOGA Company came crashing down injuring five persons including an aged woman. The injured have been rushed to the Government Hospital where the condition of the elderly woman is stated to be critical.

According to reports, the injured have been identified as Kantabai (70), Heena Kausar, Mehmuda Bi, Shubham Ravidas and Deepa Ramdas. The height of was reported to be of 8-10 feet.

Police informed that some construction is being carried out by Rai Campany in the area and construction material was stocked near the Nagpur Orange Growers’ Association (NOGA) Company. Some children were playing near the Company wall in the evening hours when a JCB machine rammed into the wall. The impact resulted in the collapse of the wall crushing five people including three women and two children under the debris.

The Pachpaoli Police Inspector D S Khobragade, PSI Kachore and a posse of policemen rushed to the spot as soon as they were informed about the incident. Fire Brigade personnel also reached to the scene and immediately started rescue and relief work. The injured were pulled out from the debris after two hours of hard struggle. The police and Fire Brigade men were searching the debris to ascertain whether any other person or persons are crushed under the heavy debris till the filing of this report.
