Nodal Conference on “Infertility – Future Challenges” on July 23 and 24

: Maharashtra State Chapter of Indian Society of Assisted Reproduction in collaboration with Nagpur Obstetrics and Gynecology Society is organizing a Nodal conference on July 23 and 24, 2016 at Hotel Centre Point, Nagpur. The theme of the conference is said to be “Infertility – Future Challenges”.

The two days conference will deliberate on the evidence for established and emerging approaches in the field of Reproductive Medicine.

20% of Indian population is infertile
While speaking about the Infertility, Dr. Sahara Patwardhan and Dr. Chaitanya Shembekar told media personnel that 20% of Indian population is infertile. Of this 20%, 50% is male and 50% is female.

While speaking about the causes of infertility among female population, Dr. Sadhana Patwardhan said that many female are getting married after the age of 28 or 30 years after finishing their aims and objectives of pursuing a good career. Then comes the stressful jobs in IT companies, changing life-styles, junk-food, late planning for babies etc.

These doctors claimed that if the wife does not get pregnant in the first 1.5 years, they should seek a doctor’s help to ascertain where the problem lies.

The Conference will focus on all Aspects of Infertility. The Scientific Programme will have renowned Regional and National faculties who will provide insights on the current concepts and recent developments in the field of infertility, Reproductive Endocrinology, Genetics, Embryology, Endoscopy as well as Andrology.

The organizing Committee Consists of Patron Advisor Dr. Mangala Ketkar, Organizing Chairperson Dr. Sadhana Patwardhan, Organizing Secretary Dr. Chaitanya Shembekar, Treasurer Dr. Sunita Sohoni and Scientific Chairperson Dr. Rupali Deshpande.

On Saturday July 23, 2016 the scientific session begins with three workshops on- Mastering the Art of Ovarian Stimulation, Clinical Research Methodology and Male Infertility.

This will be followed by Inauguration of the Conference at 12.30 pm by Amruta Fadnavis wife of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

In post lunch session Orations and key note Addresses will be delivered by Dr. Rishma Pai, Dr. Nandita Palshetkar and Dr. Padma Rekha Jirge.

Sunday the July 24, 2016 proceedings begin with Award paper session and “Meet the Experts”- Novel way of interaction of delegates with renowned faculty. Limited registrations are available for the same. There will be extensive coverage on a wide variety of topics from Molecular Basis and Genetics, Cutting Edge Technology, Infertility Challenges and Recent Advances in the field of Assisted Reproductive Technology throughout the day
