The Christian community of East Nagpur while complaining that they do not have place to bury their dead, demanded a place for cemetery in East Nagpur region. It could be mentioned here that there is only one graveyard for the Protestant community which is located in Jaripatka. This cemetery is 12 km far from East Nagpur region. The graveyard at Jaripatka is also getting full and soon the time will come when there is no place even at that cemetery to bury the dead. The Christian community also demanded for a Church in the locality.

According to the Christian Community of East Nagpur, the population of this community is forty to fifty thousand and they raised this issue with Vilasraao Muttemwar, Krishna Khopde and even submitted a memorandum to Nagpur Improvement Trust. However, no action in this regard is taken so far they alleged.

The President of East Nagpur Christian Community Pastor Advocate Josef Bawer while addressing the media personnel said that there are many Burning Ghats or Dahan Ghats for the Hindu community. Even the Muslims community has many graveyards; however, Christians do not have enough graveyards to bury their dead. Adv Bawer alleged that this is totally unjustified.

The East Nagpur Christian community also suggested some places to Nagpur Corporation. According to the members of this community, there is a 250 acre area with the Nagpur Municipal Corporation near Bhandewadi Butchery. The Government can easily give 50 acre area for graveyard.

Those who addressed the press conference include Pastor Vikas Meshram, Pastor Ashok Shahu, Pastor Sudhir Simon, Pastor Prakash Shahu, Pastor Varun Nag, Pastor Ravi Shambharkar, Pastor Dilip Ghodeshwar, Pastor Ankush Gajbhiye, Pastor Krusho Baghel, Pastor Manik Baghel and Master Pankaj Tajne.
