Nagpur: Nagpur Metro Rail Corporation Limited (NMRCL) signed a MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with one of the leading firms for Quality Control and Assurance programme for its prestigious Nagpur Metro Rail project. This is one of the Unique steps taken by NMRCL for its vision to provide a safe, reliable, efficient, affordable, world class quality product, and environmentally sustainable rapid public transport system for the city of Nagpur.
Quality Control Cell and Sample Material Collection Centre was inaugurated on May 14, 2016 by Managing Director of NMRCL Brijesh Dixit in presence of NMRCL officers.
The testing lab with whom NMRCL will be signing MOU shortly is a global leader in Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) delivering high quality service to help clients meet the growing challenges of Quality, Safety environmental protection and social responsibility.
The lab is recognized and accreditated by major national and international organizations. As a trusted partner the lab offers innovative solutions that go beyond simple compliance with regulations and standards, thus reducing risk, improving performance and promoting sustainable development.
The MOU includes material testing, mix designs, third party inspection and all types of certification. In future this lab will work as nodal agency for quality assurance. This will cater to all infrastructures as well as metro project in and around Central India.
