Nagpur: Lately the cases of minor children running away from home or young girls falling prey to enticement by unscrupulous elements and running away from the home have come to fore. Two separate cases of kidnapping (based on the Supreme Court’s directives) have been registered in the city.
In the first case, the mother of a 16-year-old girl and a resident of Koradi area have lodged a complaint with Koradi Police Station alleging that an accused identified as Seema has allegedly enticed the 16-year-old girls with a good job and with the gift of gab had convinced the minor girl to accompany her and without due permission of the parents had taken the victim to Rajasthan.
On the basis of the complaint lodged by the victim’s mother, Assistant Police Inspector R M Meshram of Koradi Police Station has registered a case of kidnapping under sections 363, 366 (A) against the accused Seema.
In the second case, two boy aged 14 and 12 have run away from the house. According to police sources, the mother of the two sons identified as Chandrakala Narayan Gokhale aged 40 years and a resident of slum areas near Kolkatta Railway Line, Vaishali Nagar has lodged a complaint with the Panchpaoli Police Station that both her sons identified as Tushar Gokhale aged 14 years and Unnat Gokhale aged 12 years have left the house without informing anybody. Even after searching hard for them they could not be traced.
On the basis of the complaint lodged by the mother of the two boys, Police Sub Inspector J R Bhosle of Panchpaoli Police Station has registered a case of kidnapping under sections 363 based on the Supreme Court’s directives and has investigation in the matter.
