NMC’s water bill complaints redressal camp receives good response in Lakadganj Zone

Nagpur: In its ongoing efforts to redress a number of complaints regarding water bills the Nagpur Municipal Corporation’s Water Works Committee had organized a Complaints Redressal Camp in Lakadganj Zone on September 14 and 15. The camp, held at Pritam Bhavan, Punjab Seva Samiti, CA Road, received an overwhelming response from the citizens.

The inauguration of the Complaints Redressal Camp was held on September 14 at the hands of MLA Krishna Khopde and in the presence of Mayor Pravin Datke, Water Works Committee Chairman Sandeep Joshi, Lakadganj Zone Chairperson Sheetal Gharat and area Corporator Narendra Borkar. The Chairman of Water Works Committee Sandeep Joshi himself received complaints from citizens from 10 am to 2 pm. Most of the complaints being regarding the water bill amounts, Joshi directed the NMC and OCW officials to immediately resolve the complaints and provide relief to the aggrieved citizens.

A total of 134 complaints were received in the camp. The officials were directed to resolve the complaints within seven days. Similarly, the written replies of complaints should be sent to the concerned citizens. Many citizens paid their current water bills at the camp itself and gave an overwhelming response to the camp.
