Nagpur: The Additional Municipal Commissioner Aziz Sheikh, on behalf of NMC’s Backward Class Employees Union, paid tributes to Architect of Indian Constitution Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar on his Mahaparinirvan Diwas (death anniversary) recently.
Aziz Sheikh garlanded the oil portrait of Dr Ambedkar at the main hall of NMC Headquarters in Civil Lines and paid his homage. A two-minute silence was observed on the occasion to remember the Dalit icon.
Present on the occasion include NMC’s Backward Class Employees Union Secretary Ashok Kolhatkar, Vinod Dhanvijay, Rajesh Hathibed, Dilip Tandale, Rajesh Wasnik, Vishan Shewale, Sanjay Bagde, Chandramani Ramtekkar, Deepak Jambhulkar, Shilwan Dhore, Bhagwan Khobragade, Ankush Khaparde, Vandana Dhanvijay, Ratnaprabha Aate, Sharda Sakhre, Satyaphula Tembhurne, and NMC officials and employees.
