Nagpur: The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has undertaken renovation and deepening of Gandhisagar Lake in the city.
According to media reports, beautification of Pagey Garden and development of a 3-storey auditorium has been planned by the NMC at Gandhisagar Lake. The Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has also suggested a three-level floating restaurant in the water body. Bhoomipujan of the works was performed a few months ago.

According to media reports, the auditorium will come up after demolition of Bal Bhavan located on the lake’s bank. The first floor will house a museum, second floor to have a 3D centre and the third floor will be for recreational activities. The NMC has planned to construct a new bridge connecting the road with the island-like Pagey Garden which will also be renovated, the reports said.
