NMC schools to go smart, to start with 3 schools!

jaytala-school-digital-roomNagpur: At last NMC pays its attention towards the worsening quality of education in its schools. And the civic body has taken its first step towards the new age education as in its first phase it has decided to digitise 3 of its schools in the city. It may be mentioned that under the digital education a projector is installed in the class. Subjects like maths, science, drawing and other subjects are taught on
projector.

Accordingly, the education department has already started a digital class in Jaitala middle school and two more digital classes will be set up in NMC Deputy signal school and Sane Guruji school in Sanjay Nagar. The digital class will have a proper sitting arrangement for the students. Similarly, initiatives like Abacus training, science fair, school maintenance and several other government schemes are to be implemented in NMC schools.

jaytala-school-digital-room-news-photos-20-sept-2016-2Nagpur Municipal Corporation has 182 schools in the city and efforts are on by NMC to increase the number of dwindling students in these schools by improving the quality of education. NMC has decided to digitise 3 schools in the first phase and 15 schools in the second phase. NMC will also train the teachers for teaching in the digital class. The teachers of Jaitala school have been trained already.

Chairman of education committee of NMC, Gopal Bohare, said that the NMC has decided to digitise the NMC schools , so that in this competitive scenario the students of NMC schools are not left behind from the students of private schools. This initiative will benefit the poor students .
