NIT plants 80,000 saplings across the city and nurtures them, too

Taking a lead under “Zade Lava, Zade Jagva” (Plant Trees, Nurture Trees) campaign, the Nagpur Improvement Trust (NIT) has planted 80,000 saplings of variety of different species of trees at swathe of places across the city. The planted saplings were well nurtured and taken care of resulting in they taking the shape of well-grown trees. The NIT had launched the ‘plant trees’ campaign in 2012 to mark Amrut Mahotsav (75 years) of the development agency.

The 80,000 saplings of variety of species were planted in different areas including VC Bungalow, Veterinary College, Kharbi Road, Durga Mandir, Manewada, Shatabdi Nagar to Revati Nagar, North Point School, Nari, Mental Hospital, University Library premises, Umred Road to Narsala Nallah, Vathoda, Futala to Vayusena Nagar and others. The saplings were well-nurtured and taken care of resulting the saplings assuming the shape of well-grown trees and spreading greenery in the city.
