NEWS for ATAL FDP on LaTeX and MATHEMATICA

The Department of Applied Sciences of G. H. Raisoni College of Engineering, Nagpur is all set to organize a one-week AICTE ATAL faculty development program on “LaTex and MATHEMATICA-2023from 11th to 16th December, 2023.This FDP which is fully funded by the AICTE New Delhi, aims to provide a comprehensive theoretical and hands on practical experience on LaTex and MATHEMATICA to the faculties, research scholars and PG students so that they can perform research using these tools easily and efficiently.

This course which includes practice sessions shall comprise of all major concepts of LaTex typesetting that will be helpful for preparing research articles, thesis, books and presentations. MATHEMATICA is a multiparadigm numerical computing environment and fourth generation programming language which is widely used in research analysis and computing. This FDP has been developed with unique approaches to convey information more efficiently and enable the visualization and applications of these research tools.

Dr. Kalpana Pandey madam whose contributions have not only shaped the landscape of mathematics but have also ignited a passion for the subject in the hearts of many. She enlightened the audience on the current state of Indian youth lacking behind in mathematical fields.

Dr. A.H Hasmani Sir emphasized the importance of faculty development programs. He suggested to conduct such programs at regular intervals to enrich faculty knowledge.

Dr. Praveen Kumar Dhankar delivered welcome address and event proceedings.Dean First Year Dr. Rupali Thete addressed the audience on the Latex and Mathematica.Deputy Director and Dean R& D Dr. Santosh Jaju guided on the Research and Development frame work, TBIF and Incubation Center in GHRCE.

The distinguished resource persons will be Dr. Abdulvahid H. Hasmani and Dr. Ravi Panchal from Sardar Patel University Vallabh Vidynagar, Dr. Saibal Ray from GLA University, Mathura, Dr Vijay Tangde from RTMNU Nagpur, Dr. Vijay Singh from University of Delhi, Dr. Pratik P Ray from VIT-AP University, Dr. Parbati Sahoo from Bhadrak Autonomous College, Odisha, Darshan Beniwal from Delhi Technological University (DTU) and Dr Praveen Dhankar from GHRCE Nagpur.

Professor Maxim Khlopov, APC Laboratory, Paris, France, Professor Andrew DeBenedictis, Simon Fraser University, Canada, Dr. S.K. Maurya, University of Nizwa, Sultanate of Oman and Professor Megandhren Govender, Durban University of Technology, South Africa were External Advisory committee of the FDP.

The Honorary Chair of the FDP is Director of GHRCE Dr. Sachin Untawale. Dy-Director & Dean, Academics Dr. Pramod Walke, Dy-Director & Dean R&D Dr. Santosh Jaju and Dean First year Department Dr. Rupali Thete are the members of Internal Advisory committee of Faculty Development Program. The ATAL FDP Coordinator is Dr. Praveen Kumar Dhankar,International Relation Officer (IRO), Raisoni Group of Institutions and Assistant Professor, Department of Applied Mathematics and Prof. Bhagwat Thakran is the Co-coordinator of the FDP. Prof. Archna Deshpande, Prof Rekha Patel and Prof. Rita Mate are the organizing members of this FDP.
