Nagpur: A newly married woman committed suicide by hanging in Shantinagar police jurisdiction on Tuesday, December 20. The reason behind the woman taking the extreme step could not be ascertained immediately.
The deceased has been identified as Rimshanad Aman Maniyar (23), native of Nalgalli, Jalna, but currently staying at Plot No. 247, Baba Sumer Nagar, Kawrapeth, Shantinagar.

According to police, the deceased had got married in May 2022 but she was staying with her brother in Shantinagar area for the past two months. On Tuesday around 5 pm, Rimshanad was found hanging from the ceiling fan with the help of an odhni at her residence. Her relatives took her to Mayo Hospital but the doctors declared her dead on admission. The exact reason behind Rimshanad taking the drastic step could not be ascertained immediately.
Shantinagar PSI Mishra, based on information, registered a case of accidental death and launched an in-depth probe into the matter.
