Mauganj/Nagpur: A heartbreaking incident from Madhya Pradesh’s Mauganj district has left an entire family shattered. Akanksha Chaturvedi, a 19-year-old NEET aspirant who dreamed of becoming a doctor, allegedly died by suicide after struggling with severe emotional distress.
Akanksha, a resident of Maganiya village in Mauganj district, had been preparing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) in Nagpur for several years. According to her family, she was confident of securing admission to a medical college after appearing for the examination this year.
However, her family claims that reports surrounding alleged irregularities and paper leak controversies related to the examination deeply affected her mental state.

Akanksha had dedicated several years to preparing for one of India’s most competitive entrance examinations. Living away from home in Nagpur, she focused entirely on her studies with the goal of becoming a doctor and improving her family’s future.

Following the incident, leaders from political parties and student organizations visited the bereaved family. Representatives from Congress and NSUI reportedly extended financial assistance and assured support in helping the family manage its debt burden.
