Nagpur’s Wadi Police Crack House Burglary Case in Just Three Days; Property Worth ₹7.42 Lakh Recovered

Nagpur: In a swift operation, the Wadi Police team solved a major house burglary case within just three days, arresting all three accused and recovering stolen property worth ₹7.42 lakh. The recovered items include gold and silver ornaments, two motorcycles, a four-wheeler, and a mobile phone.

The Incident
On August 1, 2024, burglars broke into a house along Khadgaon Road in the Wadi area by breaking the lock. They made away with jewellery, cash, and vehicles. Acting on the guidance of Police Commissioner Dr. Ravindra Singhal, the investigation began immediately. Using technical intelligence and cyber tracking, police managed to trace the suspects within two days.

  • Gold ornaments: 23 items, weighing 116.21 grams, valued at ₹7,07,419
  • Silver ornaments: 23 items, weighing 344.86 grams, valued at ₹34,718
  • Bentech ornaments: 4 pieces, valued at ₹100
  • Two motorcycles: valued at approximately ₹2.9 lakh
  • One Honda Bizzo four-wheeler: valued at ₹2 lakh
  • Oppo mobile phone: valued at ₹5,000
    Total value of recovered property: ₹7,42,237

Police Team’s Effort
The operation was carried out under the supervision of Police Commissioner Dr. Ravindra Singhal, Assistant Police Commissioner Navinchandra Reddy, Additional Police Commissioner Shivaji Rathod, Deputy Police Commissioner Rishikesh Reddy, and MIDC Division’s Satish Gurav. The core team included Senior Police Inspector Rajesh Tatkare, Sub-Inspector Amit Bandgar, constables, and cyber experts — nine members in total.

Police Appeal
Police have urged citizens to take preventive measures when leaving home, such as installing CCTV cameras, using grill locks, and informing neighbours for added vigilance.
