Nagpur: In a curious incident, a 14-year old Nagpur girl enacted a kidnapping drama to get rid of mother’s continuous nagging for study. The girl travelled to Chandrapur from Nagpur in a bus to prove her drama true, police said.

According to police, the girl is a resident of the Nandanvan area in Nagpur. She left home on Friday at 4 pm. As she went missing, the family members and relatives launched a search for her. Finally, they approached the police and lodged a missing complaint. Meanwhile, the girl herself appeared before Ram Nagar police station in Chandrapur city and reported to the police that she was kidnapped by two women from Nagpur in a car.

She told police, “I was kidnapped by two women from Nagpur and taken forcibly to Chandrapur in a car. Somehow, I rescued myself from their clutches,” she said. Later, Chandrapur police handed-over the girl to parents in Nagpur.

The Nandanvan started investigation and checked the CCTV footage. In one of the CCTV footages, the police noticed that the girl was boarding a bus herself. When the police questioned her with the evidence, the girl confessed to staging the drama to get rid of continuous nagging by mother for study.
