Nagpur Youth Congress poll process begins to appoint executive body

Nagpur News: The two-day internal elections of the Youth Congress for appointing executive body of the state unit along with six assembly constituencies of the city and the one parliamentary constituency commenced on Thursday.

Booth level workers of the Youth Congress reached the Congress Devadia Bhavan in large numbers to cast their votes on the first day of elections.

Out of 1,900 voters about 870 cast their votes on Thursday. Polling for Central, East and South Nagpur constituencies were held on the first day while polling of the remaining constituencies would be held on Friday. The elections were held at Mehdibagh lawn near the CP and Berar college. Counting of votes commenced from 6 pm onwards and continued till late night.

Voters were to cast three separate votes for parliamentary constituency, the assembly constituency and for the state executive body. Counting of votes for the parliamentary and assembly constituency would be completed by Friday whereas that of the state executive body would be done at Deshpande hall on February 3.
