Nagpur: Youth Congress of Nagpur has been demanding filling of road potholes for a very long time. Protesting against the same in a unique approach, the members of Youth Congress constructed symbolic tombs of Nagpur Municipal Corporation. The protest was carried out under the leadership of Bunty Sheleke, President, Nagpur Youth Congress near Gangabai Ghaat.
As informed by Akshay Ghotale, member, Youth Congress, several protests have been already carried out in the past. The NMC, however, is not considering the demand of filling the road potholes. Money is being spent in bulk in the name of ‘smart city’ establishment. The basic infrastructure is, however, being overlooked by the administration.
The youth congress has also warned that if the potholes of Gangabai area are not flattened in next 7 days, a similar protest will be carried out in entire Nagpur. Also, the tombs in the names of NMC officials will be constructed. They have also warned of an aggressive protest soon. Youth congress leaders and members were present in a large number during the protest.
