Nagpur: The Maharashtra legislature’s winter session, originally set to begin on December 8 in Nagpur, is likely to be postponed by around 10 days owing to the upcoming Zilla Parishad elections. BJP minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule hinted at the possible delay last week.
A similar situation occurred in 2021, when the winter session was deferred by a week after the legislative council polls overlapped with the scheduled dates.
