Nagpur: A dispute between children turned violent in Nagpur’s Wathoda Police Station area, resulting in the death of a 36-year-old man who was allegedly attacked with an iron rod.
The deceased has been identified as Shahabaz Ishaq Sheikh, 36. Police have arrested three accused, including a husband and wife, in connection with the case.

Dispute Over Children Turns Violent
The incident took place at around 9:30 pm on September 21 in Manavshakti Layout, Kharbi.
According to police, an argument broke out between Shahabaz and the accused’s family following a dispute between their children. The situation allegedly escalated, with the accused assaulting Shahabaz.
Police said two of the accused allegedly attacked Shahabaz on the head with an iron rod with an intention to cause serious harm. He was also allegedly assaulted with fists and subjected to verbal abuse.
Dies During Treatment at Medical Hospital
Shahabaz sustained serious injuries in the assault and was admitted to the ICU of the Trauma Centre at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Nagpur.
However, he died during treatment on the morning of September 22.
Following his death, Wathoda Police registered a case under the murder provisions of the law.
Three Arrested
Police initially arrested Wahid Ansari, 35, in connection with the case. Subsequently, police arrested the allegedly absconding husband-wife duo, Imran Ansari and Rubina Ansari.
Police are conducting further investigation into the circumstances leading to the fatal assault and the individual roles of the accused.
The incident has highlighted how a dispute reportedly originating between children escalated into a fatal confrontation.
