Nagpur Toppers speak: Consistent hard work yields top results in the exams

Nagpur: In an exclusive interview with Nagpur Today, Yash Praveen Chandak who scored 97.85 % in Science Stream and became the Vidarbha Topper this year said that he gives the credit of his success in the examinations to his parents and his sister. He added that some of the major contributors of his success are his College Principal, all the teachers who taught him in XIth and XIIth class too.

When asked if he followed any special schedule or planning, he said that he focused on the concepts and planned the chapters he needs to study for the day. He then executed his plans rigorously.

His advice to the juniors is that Cumulative and Consistent Studies alone will help in getting success. He claimed that he did attend Wankhede Ma’am’s tuitions to gear-up for competitive exams.

Talking Exclusively Nagpur Today, Prasad Ajay Channewar who scored 97.23% to become the topper in Science Stream to become Nagpur’s topper said that honest hard-work alone helped him score this percentage. He claimed that there is no alternative to hard-work. When asked what he wants to become, he claimed that he wants to conduct new research in Medical field. He claimed that he is awaiting his PMT results.

He claimed that following the Guardian Teacher system, he was in Physics Lecturer Darokar’s group. Prasad claimed that it was Darokar who encouraged them to appear in Olympiads and other competitive exams. This helped him to prepare for the examinations. He added that apart from his parents, his elder brother too encouraged him and helped him in his studies.

In his exclusive interview with Nagpur Today, Priyanka Joshi said that she gives the credit of her success to her parents, principal and all her teachers. When asked what she wants to become, she said that she wants to become a Doctor. She added that she too is awaiting her PMT results. She added that she too attended Wankhede Ma’am’s tuitions to gear-up for competitive exams. She claimed that the Guardian Teacher system followed in Shivaji Science College definitely helps in students to fare better.

Priyanka claimed that she credits all her success to her parents especially her mother. She claimed that apart from the regular food, tea and other help, when she was down and was getting bored, it was her mother who sometimes used to come and sit with her and revised the subjects with her.

In her advice to her juniors, she said that self consistent studies and revisions alone help in scoring good marks.

 

CYMERA_20150527_150659While speaking to Nagpur Today, Principal of Shri Shivaji College of Science Dr Devendra Kashinath Burghate said that their college is the topmost college in this region. He claimed that every year, they produce large number of merits as compared to other colleges in Maharashtra. He added that till 2015, they have produced merit holders for the past 9 times. He claimed that their students were toppers in the State this year too.

He claimed that they have introduced as system called the Guardian Teacher System. In this system, each teacher/lecturer is given the responsibility of 10 students. The teacher or the lecturer has to guide and resolve all the problems of the students so that they are able to score maximum possible marks in the examinations. He claimed that these guardian teachers work hard to ensure that the students in their care work hard and succeed in their exams. He claimed that since it is a team work where all of them work together for a common good they are able to produce so many merit holders every year. He added that his staff has a hard working spirit which yields its due results in time.
