Nagpur: Having lost out on a World Cup (50-overs) match, Vidarbha Cricket Association was obliged by the BCCI with a Twenty20 International match against Australia to be held on December 1 as it announced fixtures for Home Season 2023-24, a media report said.
BCCI’s Tours, Fixtures and Technical Committee confirmed the venues allocated as per the BCCI venue rotation policy. Nagpur’s match will be fourth in the five-match series to be held after the quadrennial event is over.
In the upcoming season, the senior men’s team is scheduled to play a total of 16 international matches, comprising 5 Tests, 3 ODIs, and 8 T20Is. Incidentally, Jamtha’s last match has been a truncated T20 against the same opponent. India won the 8- over contest by six wickets on September 23, 2022. Kangaroos were again in the Orange City in February this year and lost the series opening Test by an innings and 132 runs inside three days.
