Nagpur: With the aim of bringing citizens closer to nature through a vibrant display of colours, fragrance and floral beauty, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is set to organise its much-awaited floral festival, ‘Pushpotsav 2026’. The four-day festival will be held from January 1 to January 4, 2026, across ten prominent gardens in the city, allowing citizens to enjoy the spectacle during regular garden hours. Notably, this marks the third consecutive year of NMC’s floral exhibition.
Organised to welcome the New Year, Pushpotsav 2026 will transform city gardens into themed floral landscapes. Visitors will be treated to an enchanting display featuring 13 varieties of chrysanthemums, rainbow-themed arrangements, bougainvillea, fragrant and colourful flowers, and artistic floral installations that blend creativity with natural beauty.
Adding a unique touch, several decorative elements have been crafted using discarded materials, promoting sustainability. Special attractions include selfie points, an artificial waterfall, and installations based on the concept of ‘Waste to Wonder’. The extensive use of reusable and eco-friendly materials aims to spread a strong message of environmental conservation.
Nagpur Municipal Commissioner Dr. Abhijit Chaudhari appealed to citizens to visit the festival, stating, “The main objective of Pushpotsav is to connect people with nature, spread awareness about environmental protection, and enhance the beauty of city gardens. This exhibition has been prepared with great effort and creativity, and we invite Nagpur residents to experience and enjoy it.” The preparations are being carried out by the Garden Department under the guidance of Additional Commissioner Vaishnavi B.
