Nagpur Shines: Rope Skipping Association Bags 81 Medals at State Championship in Nashik

Nagpur has once again made its mark in the world of sports as the Nagpur Rope Skipping Association, supported by Saving Dreamz Foundation and Nagpur Book Club, delivered a spectacular performance at the 8th Maharashtra State Rope Skipping Selection Trials Championship 2025 held in Nashik on November 15.

Competing against some of the best skippers from across Maharashtra, the Nagpur contingent demonstrated exceptional athleticism, discipline, and confidence. Their powerful performance resulted in an impressive 81-medal haul, comprising:

  • 68 Gold
  • 11 Silver
  • 2 Bronze

The medals were won across Master and Team events in the 11, 14 and 17 age categories for both boys and girls — a clear reflection of the association’s growing depth, talent pipeline, and dedicated training culture.

The remarkable success is credited to the consistent efforts and expert guidance of the coaching and leadership team: Dr. Tejinder Singh Rawal, Mr. Rohit Tokhi, Mr. Ashish Deshpande, Mr. Bhushan Maidule, and Mr. Bhupesh Sarode. Their structured training programs, technical coaching, and continuous motivation played a crucial role in the team’s medal-winning performances.

The Nagpur Rope Skipping Association also expressed gratitude to the Haushi Rope Skipping Association of Maharashtra and key organizing members — Mr. Sanjay Patil, Mr. Girish Tokse, Mr. Pavan Khode and Mr. Abhijeet Deshmukh — for hosting a well-planned and successful championship.
