Nagpur Session: Second week starts with Opposition uproar over irrigation scam

Nagpur News : Nagpur News : As the assembly session enters its second week, the Opposition continued with its ruckus activities stalling the House proceedings, in order to press its demand for SIT probe into alleged irrigation scam.

In the morning the Opposition members led by Devendra Fadnavis, Nana Patole and others raised slogans and conducted parade in the Vidhan Bhawan premises.

The agitating members said that during last week in the assembly, the issue of irrigation scam was raised at least 28 times but the government did not respond.

BJP’s state president Sudheer Mungantiwar said that the government officials have indicated scam in various irrigation schemes in their probe report. The opposition have been demanding SIT probe on account of this but the government is not paying any heed to it.

Mungantiwar said that the Opposition would continue to stage demonstration till their demands are met.
