Nagpur: Dr Harssh Poddar, Superintendent of Police (SP), Nagpur Rural, has been selected among the top five officers in the final results of the prestigious Mid-Career Training Programme (MCTP) conducted at the National Police Academy (NPA), Hyderabad.
The achievement marks a proud moment for the Nagpur Rural Police Department. The programme is designed for officers in the ranks of Superintendent of Police to Deputy Inspector General of Police in the Indian Police Service. It focuses on the latest innovations in policing, technology and administrative practices.
This year’s edition of the training was held from April 21 to May 17, at the NPA, Hyderabad and 82 officers from across India participated. SP Dr Poddar represented Maharashtra along with other senior officers, having been nominated by the State Government for the programme. On June 9, the NPA declared the final results of the training, in which Dr Poddar was recognised for his exceptional performance.
