Theft of government sand

The rural police have provided information that on April 20, 2014 at Bhajimandi, in Kamptee police station jurisdiction, driver Hemraj Rajaram Thakare, aged 40 years, a resident of Neri and truck owner with common intention stole 2 bross government sand worth Rs 5,000/. The police on their arrest seized truck carrying stolen sand the total amount of goods is thus valued at Rs 5,05,000/

On the complaint of tehsildar Kamptee, Kamptee police have registered an offence under section 379, 34 of the Indian Penal Code. Police have arrested the driver of the truck and are on the lookout of the owner.

Further investigation is in progress under police sub-inspector, Wankhede.

In a similar case Khaparkheda police have arrested one truck driver, Umesh Kawdu Tandekar, aged 25 years and owner Vasanta Tandekar, both resident of  Binasangam for carrying without valid permit, government sand worth Rs 6,400/ the value of truck along with sand is Rs 4,06,400/ is seized.

The police have registered an offence on the complaint of Amol Prabhakar Handa, 49 year, Patwari, Bina grampanchayat at Khaparkheda police station under section 379, 34 of Indian Penal Code. Further investigation is in progress under police constable Tatoba.

Attempt to steal sand

Khaparkheda police have registered an offence against truck driver Vinod Gopal Thakur, aged 35 years and driver Rajesh Babulal Sondarkar, 32, truck driver Bhagwan Rama Shende, 40 and driver Sheikh Mumtaz Hussein, 40 years. The accused number 1 and 2 have been booked for stealing 2 bross government sand and accused no. 3 and 4 for attempt to steal sand. The value of their seized trucks along with sand is Rs 16,12,800/

Offence is registered on the complaint of tehsildar Kamptee, Vidyasagar Bhimrao Chavan, 40 years at Khaparkheda police station under section 379, 511 and 34 of IPC. Further investigation is in progress under police constable Tatoba.

Arson

Some unknown miscreants set fire to a hut belonging to complainant, Ramdas Dhanuji Jurahe, aged 54 years, a resident of  Dudhala, some 2 km from Kondhali police station and destroyed property worth Rs 25,000/ . The incident took place on the night intervening 19 and 20 April.

Kondhali police have registered offence under section  435 of IPC against unknown persons. Further investigation is in progress under police official, Arun.
