The authorities at Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University are akin to the blunders they come up with, especially at the eleventh hour of the examinations they conduct. And the latest in the series of goof ups came when the students of B. Com second year appeared for their summer examimation at Dayanand Arya Kanya Mahavidhlaya center on Monday. To their shock, the B.Com-II students received the question papers of B.Com Part-1 paper which was slated for April 22 on Tuesday. The blunder equally affected the schedule of both the papers as the paper distributed to the second year students was the forthcoming paper and would be considered as out and could not be thrown up for examinations.
The mistake was soon realized by the Centre head and the papers were taken back and the scheduled paper was again distributed. Actually, because of the Lok Sabha elections the summer exam time table of B.A, B.Com and B.Sc first and final years were rescheduled. The notification of the same were also sent to all the concerned centres. But the center head not knowing the change in dates distributed the Hindi paper (B.com-I) slated on April 22 on April 21 to B.Com Part-2 students.
After the goof up came into light the Centre head took back the papers distributed and immediately informed the RTMNU officials. RTMNU quickly send the B.Com part-2 paper to the center. The paper distributed earlier were returned to the university. And the revised paper set of the exam scheduled on April 22 were sent to the Examination center.
The Examination department of RTMNU when contacted were unable to give proper information on this issue.
