Nagpur: Illiteracy is a major problem in India. According to a report by World Literacy Foundation, illiteracy has been costing the Indian Economy around $53 billion a year, there is income imbalance to the tune of 30 – 42% between a literate & illiterate person. We have always been passionate about eradicating illiteracy from the nation. We are excited that our ‘Freedom Through Education’ campaign is taking a huge step impacting number of children around the nation and invite you to participate in funding this initiative.
The Nagpur chapter – Nagpur Round Table 83 (NRT 83) has build & established over 6 schools till date and many other supporting facilities.
This year, NRT 83 is building a school for the under-privilege at Dharampeth, Nagpur for L.T. COL. V.D. PARANCHPE MEMORIAL SCHOOL (BAL MANDIR SANSTHA), NAGPUR, with a total Project cost of Rs. 17.5 Lac
To raise funds for building this school and providing other facilities to children, NRT 83 is organizing its fund raising event “COMEDY FOR A CAUSE III” which will be attended by the cities elite on 21stJune 2017, at Hotel Center Point from 8:30 pm onwards.
Renowned stand up comedians Mr. Atul Khatri and Mr. Abhishek Upmanyu from Mumbai will feature in this event. Both the artists have done more than 1000 shows each and are coming to Nagpur for the first time.
