Nagpur: The Summer Camp organised by Nagpur City Police is receiving an overwhelming response from students and parents, with children enthusiastically participating in a wide range of sports, fitness and creative activities aimed at overall personality development.
The unique initiative has been launched under the guidance and inspiration of Nagpur Police Commissioner Dr Ravinder Kumar Singal with the objective of making children’s summer vacations productive, safe and enriching.
According to officials, a total of 133 students belonging to the age groups of 4 to 7 years and 8 to 14 years have enrolled in the camp so far.
The summer camp focuses on the physical, mental and creative growth of children through a combination of indoor and outdoor activities designed to improve confidence, discipline, teamwork and leadership qualities.
On Thursday, several outdoor sports sessions were conducted at the turf ground under the supervision of experienced trainers. Children actively participated in games such as cricket, pickleball and dodgeball, enjoying both fitness and recreational learning.
Police officials said the camp is not limited to sports alone. Multiple activities are also being organised to enhance children’s intellectual abilities, creativity, communication skills and positive thinking.
Special emphasis is being placed on building discipline, cooperation and social responsibility among participants through interactive sessions and team-based activities.
Parents have also appreciated the initiative, stating that the camp is providing children with a healthy and constructive environment during the summer holidays while helping them stay away from excessive screen time and negative influences.
Nagpur Police described the camp as part of its broader community policing efforts aimed at building stronger bonds between citizens and law enforcement agencies while encouraging youth development through positive engagement.
