
Under the medical care of doctors from Indira Gandhi Government Medical College (IGGMC or Mayo Hospital), many citizens, police-officers and police personnel voluntarily donated blood at the camp. During the Blood-Donation drive, under the medical guidance of Dr Deepti Barekar and Dr Rahul Bankar and the other medical staff, 35 police personnel and citizens had voluntarily donated blood. The blood donors were given donor certificates by the hand of Superintendent of Police Dr Arti Singh of Nagpur Rural Police.
On this occasion, a free health check-up was also conducted by the Arneja Heart Institute, Ramdaspeth for the police personnel at the Headquarters of Nagpur Rural Police.

Police personnel are usually busy throughout the day in the investigations and bandobast duties. Most of the cops which include Police officers and personnel often ignore to take care of their health due to the busy lives. This causes cops to acquire much physical and medical debility.
This Blood Donation and Free Medical check-up programme was conducted to pay homage to the martyrs of 9/11 terrorist attack in Mumbai. Superintendent of Police of Nagpur Rural Police Dr Arti Singh had initiated this programme for the police personnel of Nagpur Rural Police at their Head Quarters at Teka Naka. A large number of police personnel and citizens were present on the occasion.
