Nagpur Police Return Stolen Property Worth Over ₹3 Crore in Zone 5

Nagpur — In a significant initiative to restore stolen goods to their rightful owners, the Nagpur Police’s Zone 5 division, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Niketan Kadam, successfully returned property worth over ₹3.04 crore. The recovered items included stolen vehicles, mobile phones, and other valuables seized during investigations conducted between January and April 2025.

A dedicated recovery and return event was organized under the Yashodhara Nagar Police Station on May 3, where stolen property worth ₹2.54 crore — including two-wheelers, four-wheelers, and miscellaneous valuables — was handed over to victims of theft and burglary cases.

Major Highlight: Mobile Phone Recoveries Worth ₹49.59 Lakh

As part of the initiative, a total of 268 stolen or lost mobile phones were traced and returned, thanks to the efforts of specialized cyber and mobile tracking teams. These teams utilized advanced tracking technology to locate and verify ownership.

The drive was conducted under the strategic guidance of Police Commissioner Dr. Ravinder Singal, Joint Commissioner Nisar Tamboli, Additional Commissioner Pramod Kumar Shewale, and DCP Niketan Kadam. The effort saw committed participation from multiple police personnel, particularly cyber and investigation teams from Zone 5.

The Nagpur Police have urged citizens to report lost or stolen property without delay, assuring that recovery operations will continue with dedication and transparency.
